SPX Photos
It's Andre!!
The lovely Hilary <3
Those cats from Our Friend the Atom!!! These guys are so full of comic enthusiasm, they are the best to run into at cons!!
Kat, Kim, and the dudes from You Ain't No Dancer~~!!(Ed and Phil!) I've been internet-following Kim's comics for at least 7 years so it was wonderful to finally meet her in person (;_;
This year's haul, hahah! (A two-person combination.)
WTF IS THIS!!! (TT____TT So far I've only translated "THE BLACK MINE" (the title)...
Even though we could only be there on Saturday, Kat and I had a good time just chilling with people and looking at good comics, yeah!!!

school
let me repeat that again,
ALL-CONSUMING
it's so bad that I'm having dreams about my teachers, inwhich we discus academic topics!!! (like the significance of typographical counters.) horrible.
I have actual art and things to post but have NO TIME TO actually post them, I hate this!
And this past weekend I went to SPX, so I have photos to post and emails to write to people and there is just no time (-_-
But SPX was wonderful, so much great comics and so many good, good people!!!

WOORRDDD
Your Quiet Neighbors.com
You know how many years I've been saying "today I gotta make the website!!!"!?!? and then all that ever gets done is like the layout and after that I poop out. Using Dreamweaver makes things SO MUCH EASIER/FASTER OMG. It's like the difference between aimlessly wandering a barren wasteland vs. being guided by nymphs and elves in a lush magical forest.
SO YEA! anyway I'm back from Colorado. It was an exciting trip but I was sick for almost all of it so uuhh... 8(
Photos comin' later, right now I'm focusing on getting ready for Otakon!!!
Also working on more Vein pages and have been accepted into the Royal Rumble tournament over at Enter Void!!!!! WAAAAYYYYY exciting!
Another exciting thing is earlier this month I was interviewed with fellow Static Fish Friends over at Comics Bulletin! You can read the interview: here
OK back to work!

Mountains against sky
Because my Aunt died on Thursday.
Will I be bitter forever for missing that show.
I still haven't seen Dark Knight, and that might have to wait until after Colorado, but I did watch Manic and Fur recently. Both movies are very beautiful, Fur is visually and emotionally breath-taking and Manic makes me question a lot of things.
Art update when I get back, namely new page for Walking City and information about HATCH vol. 1

summer time sleeping
I've fallen into the habit of staying up until 2a-4a in the moring and then sleeping till noon, getting up, eating, going to work, come home 11p, and then just doing nothing until 2a (cheat repeat cheat repeat).
This is not encouraging artwork production at all....
Sometime ago I did manage to finish this (super rushed super bad) battle over at Enter Void. You can check it out here:
Julius v. Rex
Max Beck also completed the first five pages of his Vein comic, Side-Effects, so please check that out!!
Kat and I are working on the next chapters of Nous/suoN and Walking City along with things for the upcoming Otakon....!!
OK off to work

vein
it's finally up.
if.. you find any broken links.... be a dear and please point them out. It was a pain in the ass for me to get the pages to work correctly... ugh...
Kat and I are going to MoCCA this weekend.
I have to..to wake up in two hours to catch a bus to NY. We almost didn't have a place to stay Saturday night, which was awesome for about an hour and then my old painting teacher called back and.. I can't wait to see her show on Sunday.
I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE ALL THE COMICS AT MoCCA AND TOTALLY FANGIRL ALL OVER THE PLACE IN A HORRIFYING SLEEP-DEPRIVED MANNER!

Paints
First attempt at left. The vase is bull-shitted and I don't even attempt it in the second painting (which, coincidentally, I like MORE).
Painting advice is greatly appreciated, I feel like those old people who are so bad they don't even know how bad they are. If I just keep painting hopefully something will click.
Here are some anime-ish watercolor:

The Mourning Star sketches
(Some more of his work here: http://www.scubotch.com/kaz.html)
I bought vol. 1 back in March and also somehow own the Papercutter issue that contains a Mourning Star side story. (how did I get this comic??? I don't even remember?? did Kat pick it up???)
My favorite characters are Dagger Face + Pike, and the Snipper Sniper, so here is some fanart:
How will he get his stuff back?! I want to know, too! Hurry and draw vol. 2, Mr. Strzepek!
